so let me leave you with the one thing that actually separates the people who get in before the close from the people who show up after it reopens.

there’s a founder class, and then there’s everyone else.

when I joined the community that changed my whole life, I didn’t join when it was big and obvious. I joined before a deadline, on the extension, when it was still small.

I became a founder member.

and that early cohort always mattered more. they were there before the room filled. they got the thing before it was a thing. and when the wave of new people came later, the founders were already inside, already shaped by it, already holding the status of having seen it first.
